A little weird at first, but very comfortable and seems to be doing what they claim in terms of toning the legs. People make comments because they are noticeably different than other running shoes, but most people are just curious. Some comment that they think they look "dorky". I got 1/2 size bigger because other comments on similar Skechers indicated they run small. I think that assessment is true. If you plan on thin socks, you may go with your normal size and if you plan thicker athletic socks, you may opt for 1/2 size larger.
