Comfortable until wet- I wore them on a hike to Starved Rock yesterday. It was a rainy day and even after the rain stopped the forest was pretty wet and muddy. The shoes handled logs, rocks, and muddy slopes great. I felt my arches falling after about 3 hours of hiking even with thick hiking socks. I am going to get some different inserts to replace the removable Columbia inserts that came with the shoe. This should correct the problem. I will post after my next hike. The laces also come loose often because of the dampness.
